Hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office. To obtain this mark each pencil/pen has to be tested by the Assay Office to make sure the silver is up to British Standard (.925). The finishes are hand chased by master craftsmen. Each Victorian pen is hand hammered at least two thousand times to create its distinctive pattern. From sheet silver through eight different processes, the craftsman creates the unique clip which is individually numbered. Proud and stylish silhouettes reminiscent of past glories. Keeping in line with their heritage, all Yard-O-Led pencils store one yard of 1.18mm lead.
